In recent years, as green mining construction has made substantial progress, dust control and wastewater discharge management in nonferrous metal mines have been continuously strengthened, with road maintenance investment increasing year by year.

In nonferrous metal mines, haul roads are the “arteries” of production — from mining sites to processing plants, from waste dumps to stockyards, mining trucks operate from dozens to hundreds of trips daily. Under heavy-load rolling, road surfaces easily loosen, generate dust, and develop potholes. For enterprises, mine road maintenance is a “fixed cost.” Cement pavement has poor impact resistance, cracking and breaking within 2-3 years, with long repair cycles and high costs. Asphalt pavement softens and ruts in high heat, suffers water damage and peeling in rain, requiring at least one repair annually. Stabilized soil roads have limited load-bearing capacity. Road maintenance consumes significant operational time, affecting normal mine production.

Liu Yi noted that this “allows deformation without failure” characteristic means that after one application of Goodroad Flexible Film-Forming pavement, it can stably serve for 5–10 years, with only localized wear-area quick repairs needed — no large-scale reconstruction required.

Currently, Goodroad Flexible Film-Forming Technology has been practically verified in multiple mining scenarios. In the steel industry, after application on main haul roads at Jigang and Laigang, road service cycles were significantly extended, watering frequency dropped by over 80%, and transport efficiency improved notably. In the building materials industry, after Shandong Shanshui Group adopted the technology for its mining area roads, maintenance costs decreased by over 50% compared to traditional solutions.
